Artists and Collaborators
Jon is a novelist, and one of Britain’s top five short story writers. He is the author of the critically acclaimed “If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things” (2002) and “So Many Ways To Begin” (2006). He is the winner of the Betty Trask Prize and the Somerset Maugham Award, has twice been long-listed for the Man Booker Prize, and was shortlisted for the 2003 Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award. Released in 2010, “Even the Dogs” is his third novel. He is also is co-founder of Nottingham Writers studio.
Olwen is a performance maker and writer. As co-founder of the performance company Southpaw Junction she has devised and performed original work since 2009. With an interest in the use of recorded and live moments in performance, Olwen creates work that explores the audience’s relationship with the screen and with each other. She is currently touring her solo piece ‘Fridge Logic’. She graduated from a Theatre Degree at De Montfort University in 2010 and is currently studying a MA at the same university.
Suzy Gunn
Suzy is a performance maker and Arts Manager working in Nottingham. She studied Contemporary Theatre Studies at Scarborough University and graduated in 2003. She is co-founder and director of Shrug Ladies Performance Company who create happenings around the UK for festivals and events. Suzy managed projects for Reckless Sleepers and Retina Dance.
Barret Hodgson
Barret Hodgson is a visual artist, VJ and interactive media specialist. Having graduated from the Collaborative Arts Practice MA at Trent University in 2007, Barret founded Vent Media, a digital visual production company, with an emphasis on creating work for live events, the performing arts, music events, art installations and commercial projects. Vent Media has a commitment in exploring the collaborative possibilities in the arts.
Gabriele Reuter is a dance artist based in Berlin and Nottingham. She studied Contemporary Dance and Arts Management in England before creating her own works, collaborating and improvising with other dancers, photographers and musicians since 2001. During the last year her solo choreographies and lecture performances have been shown at the nottdance08 and Springdance (NL) festivals, The Place, Tanztage Berlin and the Moviemiento6 Festival in Santiago de Chile. Amongst others she has danced for Sioned Huws, Frauke Requardt and Rick Nodine

Kerryn Wise is a dancer and choreographer based in the East Midlands, UK. She trained in contemporary dance and film at Nottingham Trent University and went on to be awarded a 3 year artist fellowship with Future Factory based at the university. Her work has been performed both nationally and internationally. Kerryn has just finished a 2 year research project based at the University of Northampton entitled ‘ The choreographic lab’. Kerryn is a dance specialist at a secondary school and a guest lecturer at New College Nottingham and The University of Northampton.

Mat Trivett is a creative producer and emergent artist based in Nottingham. Having studied Arts and Cultural Management at Dartington College of Arts with a focus on inter-disciplinary arts practice, research and collaboration. He currently works for Trampoline: Platform for New Media Art coordinating and facilitating workshops for young people working with new media and digital technologies. As an artist his work aims to explore the intersection between art, science and design and is currently developing new work exploring systemic relationships between urban agriculture, living ecosystems and biomimetics.

Michael studied Theatre and Creative Writing at Lancaster University and co-founded Metro-Boulot-Dodo Theatre Company (MBD) in 1996. Pinchbeck left MBD in 2004 to embark on five-year live art project The Long and Winding Road. In 2008, he was selected by Arts Council England for the 13th Biennale for Young Artists in Italy. In 2009, his work was selected for the British Council Edinburgh Showcase. He works with Reckless Sleepers and the Strange Names Collective.
